How to identify us
Every request our scanner makes to your site carries this User-Agent:
Grademypage/1.0 (+https://grademypage.com/bot; Website Analyzer)To allow our scans through, add a rule that permits any request whose User-Agent contains Grademypage. That single match covers every request we make.
What our bot does
- On-demand only. We fetch a page when a user submits its URL for analysis. We do not crawl your site on a schedule.
- Low volume. A single scan is a handful of requests to the URL you submitted and a few of its assets (such as stylesheets) — not a site-wide crawl.
- Read-only. We only read publicly available page content to grade it. We never submit forms or attempt to log in.
If you block by IP instead of User-Agent
We run on cloud infrastructure with dynamic IP addresses, so we can’t provide a fixed IP list. Most of our scan traffic is rendered through Firecrawl, our page-rendering provider. If your firewall allowlists by IP range rather than User-Agent, you’ll want to allow Firecrawl’s published egress IPs in addition to matching our User-Agent. Whenever possible, User-Agent allowlisting is the simpler and more reliable option.
